Was with internet friends joking around in my private room...It's people I've known for 20 years plus kind of deal...All I said was "You Know Women Are Crazy". Subjected to..48 hour FB jail for hate speech....Facing 3 days right now for posting an article in my private room about how the Star Spangle Banner has lines in it that could be considered racist.....That is now hate speech also. ...FB told me they won't even review it....How can adults have conversations on subjects anymore? Especially a private room where it's not public?

I got banned for a day, I refused to agree with Facebook's decision, so I received a week's ban. How's that not bullying?

I have been censored and banned 3 times already in 2021. Most of the times I say something without offending anyone just a controversial opinion I suppose and someone starts offending me..I defend myself without directly offending anyone..in the end I get blocked and some baby gets a sort of a reward for being a baby. Time to delete it once and for all.

Facebook is out of control with the censorship , their is a way around it but it means you have to create 100 gmail accounts and fake FB pages , so if 1 is blocked for a week or more you move into the next one but they wised up to this and trace your IP address which is why you need a VPN , anyway they are not clever people ,we are more intelligent as we do this shit everyday of our lives pro trolls will always beat the system

I was censored by facebook and I didn't have a chance to open any dispute to defend myself or to have my censorship reviewed. They just reiterated what they had done, with no sort of explanation. I had commented on a comment of a girl friend, about a message text of a guy. It was posted on a group of feminist to which she belonged. The post was about some guy, with his name scrubbed out, and a list of all the demands he made to be with a woman. So in the list there was her height, etc. I then replied to my friend and said that that comment could not have been written by a man, because it looked like a grossery list, and women tend to be more demanding than men to the point of specifing. Somebody denounced me and facebook censored me. I went through the guidelines and, as far as they go, I did not use any stereotypes that are widely recognized as degrading for such a radical measure. Then I was shocked that facebook uses bias to decide what is and what isn't politically correct.

Brilliant. Not sure how I am just finding this blog, but I’m sure glad I did.

Please never write "very calculatingly" again.

"I'd have some lawyer [...] file a lawsuit that my post had been censored. My boring post had just as much a right to be exposed to all of my friends as any engagement-bait, and Facebook was explicitly limiting my freedom of speech."

Yeah, that's not what "freedom of speech" means. Facebook does not have any legal obligation to allow any particular speech.

The "newsfeed" model of social media, and algortihmic curation, are truly abhorrent beasts, in the way they are currently practiced. But IMO arguments like yours do a disservice to this whole discussion, by shifting the discourse from "Facebook has too much power" to "Facebook is censoring me".
